It was great to go into the autumn with three groups (we had three groups back in the summer - remember those balmy days!). Thank you for your support, it is really appreciated. Together we are making the league an established fixture in the city's sporting life. Do help us spread the word for the next round and in particular, if you know any women who play tennis, do remind the that the league is fully open for men and women!

Giacomo didn't need his bonus points to stamp his authority over this group, but he did have to battle hard to get past Ross and runner-up Geoffrey who both took him to a third set. An excellent, competitive group that was great fun for us to follow!

Sadly things didn't quite end as we would have liked for Sushant who was forced to retire from the round with a back injury. Nevertheless, with four good wins he had done enough to secure the group win and earn promotion next time (hope you are on the mend Sushant!). Niall takes the second place thanks to a narrow win over Miwa. Nice group, though with three withdrawals in all, you have earned a few week's with your feet up!
