Group Summary:

Ashley played more matches than anyone else and bagged his bonus points, and this proved to be a winning formula as he finished with five wins under his belt to top the podium. Ignacio and Nicola were neck and neck in the race for second place, and with their head to head unfinished at one set apiece we need to do some number crunching to determine who takes the silver. Thanks to fewest games conceded it is Nicola who pips Ignacio to the runners up spot. Well played all.

Group Summary:

A "great match" appeared regularly in the comments in this group which we always like to see. There was lots of competition on the court with Tom and Joao's "proper duel" a particular highlight. It was a close call for top spot too as Salvatore and Joao tied on nine points apiece. Their head to head therefore comes into play, and they "went toe to toe" until Salvatore earned crucial breaks to take the victory and the title. Well done to Tim O who finished the round undefeated from his three matches, and this included wins against the top two - so what might have happened had he played a couple more?

Group Summary:

Unfortunately this group was hit by a couple of withdrawals and a no show, which led to less tennis being played than we would have liked. Paul, Louis and George all got a win on the board to give themselves a chance of clinching the prize. After the eliminator method is applied and points removed for a walkover win, we are left with Paul and Louis to battle it out for top spot. The congratulations go to Paul this time thanks to fewest games conceded.
