Player Comments:
- "What a grind of a match that lasted including warm-up 3 hours. I thought it was all over after Maxwell went 4-2 up in the second set before I had an epic comeback and won the second 6-4. At this point looked like I am on the winning street before Maxwell fights back once more and goes 2-0 before my superior fitness allows me to come back once more and win 6-2. Probably I never ran so much in a match before and it was amazing fun in sunny conditions. " -- Raphael
Player Comments:
- "rain interrupted play - tbc " -- Raphael
- "1st set was played in near impossible conditions due to the gusts. The 2nd set was good quality tennis. Competitive match as always! " -- Sam
Player Comments:
- "What a match. 1st set - running out of the gates and going up 3 - 0 before doing equalises to 3 - 3 and I fight back again and win the first set with brilliant play 6 - 3. 2nd - Duncan breaking me straight away and then me fighting back so we are at 3 - 3 again. At this point I break him and at 5 - 3 have the chance to win the match and he breaks back. Then at 5 - 4 got 2 match points that Duncan defends well plus another 2 match points at 6 - 5. Tie break Duncan ran away 4 - 0 and put it to bed with 7 - 4. Epic match to be continued as it took us 2 hours just for 2 sets. " -- Raphael
- "Another frustrating experience. 5-3 up in the deciding set and managed to lose it 5-7. Respect to Duncan who took advantage, again, of my indecisiveness in the important moments and played great in these situations. I am edging closer to beat Duncan, looking at the past results, but this will have to wait for another few months at least. Thanks for the battle and congrats to the hard fought win - the set was over 1 h long. " -- Raphael
Player Comments:
- "Great battle with Maxwell with lots of brutal baseline exchanges! " -- Sam
Player Comments:
- "Good game in windy conditions. It was competitive until my back started playing up.... to be continued!" -- John
Player Comments:
- "First set score certainly doesn't tell the whole story as John was unleashing winner after winner on the clay! " -- Sam

Player Comments:
- "What a close match! Mark took the lead in both sets but I found a mix of form and dogged ball chasing to turn it around. Just. Credit to Mark for playing through the rain. Which on the clay at Old College, with heavy balls, made for an entertaining game of slices and drop shots. Look forward to the next one. Cheers " -- Macalister

Player Comments:
- "Epic game with some massive swings in momentum. 1st set was close with lots of break points saved, and Max keeping his head better on the crunch points. 2nd set was oddly uneven - Max won 4 games in a row at one point, then I did the same to fight back. The 3rd went the same way but in reverse, then a knife-edge finish with Max saving 5 match points before I got over the line. Cheers! " -- Macalister
