3 of the Bush Hill Park
Tennis League has slithered to a halt - this slight thaw fools no one;
another week and we will be swapping tennis balls for snow balls again. The
time has come to announce this round's winners....
We may have been a little down on
numbers this round but despite the weather, lots of tennis was played and four
players managed to earn bonus points and free tennis balls - which, given the
weather is quite remarkable.
We really appreciate your efforts in
setting up and playing matches. We hope the tennis had been really enjoyable,
but we know it takes commitment and dedication to keep the league
going and all the work you put in now should mean the league can grow in the
spring and summer. The league is still very young, and your pioneering efforts
are vital to its future.
But now, without further ado...

reported Robin after he beat Anthony, which might make you ask whose
sadistic idea was it to extend the round still further into the cruel winter?
Indeed, some of you did wonder, but nonetheless we are very grateful
to all your efforts to get matches played and make this such
a competitive round. In the end, although Uche was able to record a
memorable victory in his match with Paul, it was Paul, with
four excellent wins and a point from the one defeat, who made it to
the top. Well done to our new champ!
